5 Easy Ways To Keep Your Family Organised in 2022

I’m going to go on record to say 2021 (and 2020 for that matter!) was quite literally, worse than unmedicated childbirth… 3rd-degree tear and all. Yes, there were happy pockets and wins but overall? Impossible. No amount of planners and lists would have made homeschooling while simultaneously running a business possible let alone plausible. So, now that we’ve covered the last couple of years, let’s look forward to keeping your family organised in 2022.

These simple hacks will help you find calm in the chaos.

1. Create a morning to-do list for everyone in your family

Mornings + kids + all the things is a recipe for disaster on a good day. Let alone a crazy day that requires a costume of some description, a gold coin donation and a plate to share.

There’s nothing more frustrating than reminding kids to brush their teeth, find their shoes etc.

Instead, add it all to a to-do list and pop it up in their room or somewhere they can see it.

The to-do list can include all the things like:

✅ Brush your teeth

✅ Put your shoes, glasses and uniform on

✅ Get your lunch out of the fridge and put it in your school bag

✅ Feed the dog

*️⃣ And MORE

Once all of that is done? Well, then they can have a minute of TV time. And, you’ll be able to get through the AM without the constant nagging.

2. Take control of your weekly schedule

It’s so easy to drop a ball when there are waaaaay too many in the air. A weekly schedule will keep you on track so you never forget another crazy hair day or dentist appointment.

Our Weekly Wall Planner is one of our big (HUGE) planners designed for those who are about to get *serious* about planning in 2022.

Are you ready to commit?

✅ Tasks

✅ Chores

✅ Appointments

*️⃣ And MORE

If you have a whole bunch of people in your home (or workplace!) and you want to streamline your life, you'll love this Hercules of wall planners.

3. Make lunches Easy

Making school lunches five times a week is fun, isn’t it? Ha! Take control of the endless food prep by planning in advance.

Sick of daily requests for new lunches? Save and print our 50 Lunch Box Snack Ideas to clear some of the mental load. Give it to your kids every weekend and ask them to select what they’d like for the week.

Pre-prepare as much as you can the night before and make it an easy ‘grab and go’ situation.

4. Save dinner dramas

Who knew the hardest thing about being an adult is figuring out what to cook for dinner every single night for the rest of your life until you die? All the last-minute grocery dash’s, thinking about dinner, planning dinner and then, ugh, COOKING dinner? It’s downright exhausting is what it is!

I would give you a hack but there are no hacks, it all comes down to being organised and *following through* with your best-laid plans.

Our Menu Planner helps you plan and have a visual reminder through the week which alleviates some of that ‘what am I going to feed the children’ pre-dinner anxiety. Add a list of groceries needed down the side and you’ve got it in the bag!

As an added bonus, having a plan reduces the chances of a last-minute UberEats order which will save you a bucketload of money!

5. Go BIG or go home

When you’re busy and overwhelmed there are two trains of thought ‘now’ and ‘not now’. When things fall into the ‘not now’ basket, they are in grave danger of being forgotten altogether.

Our Annual Wall Planner makes organising the whole of 2022 a little less hectic. Plan out school holidays, birthdays, family trips and more so you know what’s coming up.

If a year in advance feels a little too full-on or not detailed enough, our Command Centre will bring you the serenity you seek.

With room to add a weekly and monthly schedule PLUS room to add notes (or chores!) for every family member and lots of space on the right-hand side, you’ll be on top of everything. You can even personalise your planner with four names so everyone has their spot.

Are you sensing a theme here? Yup, it all comes down to planning and scheduling. Set aside 20 minutes every Sunday night to plan the big things and you’ll be well on your way to a less stressy 2022.

Here’s to a smoother year!
